It’s the “feelings teacher” over here! In my opinion, I have the best job in the world. My job is to be accessible to ALL students in a variety of different ways. My goal is for students to feel empowered and confident by working with them to provide the tools, skills and space to be able to regulate, communicate, and problem solve in order to be their best selves. I am available to meet with students for Individual counseling and check in’s, Group counseling and Lunch bunches, SEL Classroom lessons, Crisis support, Peer mediation, and Caregiver support to name a few.
Some topics that I cover in my lessons, groups, and sessions can include: Social skills, Friendship skills, Growth mindset, Traumas, Kindness, Leadership, Emotion regulation, Problem solving, Coping skills, Self-esteem, Interpersonal skills, Size of the Problem, Respect, Empathy, Bullying, & so much more!
A few of our School-wide SEL Programming include: Erin’s Law, Panorama and Career Day.
I have been with Berkeley 87 since 2019. I have worked at both Jefferson Primary and Sunnyside Intermediate. I am very excited to continue to work with our Berkeley 87 scholars and families!
